The AMT4SentinelFRM consortium is led by Plymouth Marine Laboratory and includes two partners as subcontractors: the University of Southampton and the Institut Français de Recherche pour l’Exploitation de la Mer, Plouzane, France (IFREMER). The European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) is also involved as an external party on Copernicus validation activities.

    Senior Research Assistant within the University of Southampton. Dr Wimmer is Project Scientist for the ISAR project which involves: Design and building of autonomous self-calibrating infra-red radiometers for measuring sea surface temperature; Deployment of infra-red radiometers IFREMER worldwide, but mainly the English Channel and the Bay of Biscay. This includes participation in international campaigns as well as infra-red radiometer inter-comparisons; and validation of sea surface temperature data acquired by satellite sensors.

    Role in the project: Senior scientist on WP 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700.
